BUN 101
Training for the parent responsible for styling the female cast member’s hair for performances. Class held in the props area outside of the Costume Shop. Class is optional if you are a returning parent in the same role. Questions about Bun 101 Class may be directed to the parent liaisons.

Monday, December 9th; 6-8pm at Jupiter’s at the Crossing (upstairs). Cast members and siblings of cast members 5 and under are free.  Pricing for family members TBA. Please RSVP to kay@cuballet.com by Monday, December 2nd.

COSTUME COMPONENTS, MAKE-UP, HAIR INSPECTION
Dutch Dairy, Mice, Soldiers and Party Boys must bring the following items to rehearsal on November 2: 1) make-up supplies in a clear plastic baggie labeled with dancer’s name; 2) all hair supplies in clear plastic baggie labeled with dancer’s name; 3) all additional costume components; i.e. leotard, bike shorts, ballet slippers, etc. Please refer to the Costume Requirements included in your Family Meeting packet for role-specific make-up, hair and costume components. Parent Liaisons will be inspecting each dancer’s costume components on November 2nd per the schedule below.

Dutch Dairy: 11:15am in the studio lobby
Mice 2:30pm in the props area outside of the costume shop
Soldiers 3:00pm in the props area outside of the costume shop
Party Boys 3:45pm in the props area outside of the costume shop

COSTUME MANDATORY INSPECTION
Mandatory full costume check for Dutch Dairy, Mice, and Soldiers, including hair and make-up on Sunday, November 17th. Tentative timeline 11:30am - 2:30pm

DVD AND/OR BLURAY ORDERS
You may order a DVD or BluRay of The Nutcracker performance of your choice. All order forms and payment are due by Monday, December 2nd. You may place your order form and check in the envelope located on the bulletin board in the studio. DVD/Blu-Ray Order Form

KRANNERT ORIENTATION
Krannert Orientation for all families EXCEPT Dutch Dairy begins at 5:30pm on Monday, December 2nd. Following Roll Call and confirmation of Curtain Call participation, returning Nutcracker families will be released. Krannert Orientation is mandatory for all families new to The Nutcracker. You will learn where you can and can’t be at Krannert, where to park, and tours will be provided so that you are familiar with the location of the Green Room (for ice and fruit delivery), dressing rooms for cast members, travel routes and more.

Parents of Mice and Soldiers who are new to the Nutcracker are to meet in the Krannert Center Lobby at the entrance to Tyron Festival Theatre at 5:15pm. Please be prompt or you will miss the guided tour to the Opera Room. Returning families are to check-in at the Opera Room.

KRANNERT ORIENTATION FOR DUTCH DAIRY
Parents and Dutch Dairy are to meet at 4pm on Monday, December 2nd in the Krannert Center Lobby at the entrance to Tryon Festival Theatre. Attendance is mandatory. Please refer to the Tech Schedule for details.

PARENT MEETING (Mandatory for families new to The Nutcracker)
If this is your family’s first experience with The Nutcracker, one parent is required to attend the meeting on October 26th from 1:45 to 2:45pm at Countryside School gymnasium. Roll call will be taken promptly at 1:45pm. The Tech Schedule will be reviewed in detail.

VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE
Each cast member family is required to volunteer a minimum of 12 hours. Questions about the volunteer schedule should be directed to volunteer@cuballet.com.

WRANGLER TRAINING
Mandatory training for any females volunteering as a Wrangler will be held on Saturday, November 9th. This training will be role specific and will include make-up application. If you plan to wrangle more than one group (Dutch Dairy and mice, or mice and soldiers, etc), you will want to attend training for each of those specific roles as make-up/costumes are different. Training schedule coming soon!
